AJC’s Costa Rica Medium Roast Scores A 92!!!
Adventurous Joe Coffee’s Costa Rica medium roast was recently sent to Coffee Review to get an unbiased review of what we feel is a truly epic coffee that is roasted to perfection. Ken Davids and Coffee Review are the most well-known and respected reviewers of coffees in the world. A score between 85 and 89 means it is very good and considered a specialty coffee. Any score of 90 and above represents an Outstanding Coffee. This amazing coffee scored a 92! This is an extremely unusually high score for a Fair Trade Organic coffee!
We have not seen Tarrazu Finca Las Gravileas coffee elsewhere for less than $17.00/lb but we are able to make it available for $14.50/lb. Amazing coffee at an awesome value! It is amazing as an iced coffee, too!
More on Ken’s Review:
Blind Assessment: Deep-toned, quietly complex, sweet flowers, caramel, apple in aroma and cup. Rich, round, but authoritative acidity; lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Impressively long, resonant, sweet finish.
Notes: This coffee is certified organically grown and Fair Trade, meaning it was purchased from small-holding farmers at a “fair” or economically sustainable price. It was grown on Finca Las Gravileas in Costa Rica’s famous Tarrazu growing region.
Who Should Drink It: Those who enjoy sensory depth and quiet authority. Rich and balanced when taken black, but should handle whitener well.
