- Melanie Webb canyoneering in Zion National Park Outskirts, Utah. Photo courtesy of David Basset Sol Fitness Adventures, soladventure.comIt was late on a hot summer afternoon that David Basset and Melanie Webb were scouting the canyon for the best routes for Sol Fitness Adventures Redrock Backpacker: Zion Outskirts trip. Suddenly David yelled, "Stop!", set up his tripod, and began to shoot away in perfect light conditions.
The coolest thing about the adventure is the isolation and stark beauty of the canyon walls. And, the fact that Sol Fitness Adventures is the only multi-day tour operator to take you there!

- Andres Madrigal's Lost Canyon tour in La Fortuna, in Costa Rica. Photo courtesy of Andres MadrigalTwo hundred feet seems like a long way when it’s straight down. Standing at the top of the last waterfall rappel of the day, I realized they saved the best for last. Desafio’s Lost Canyon tour in La Fortuna, in Costa Rica´s northern zone, took me down seven waterfalls. I splashed through pools, and even jumped in during some. You will get wet, which is part of the fun. Apart from my buddy Peter Majerle and our two guides, there was not even an inkling of human involvement in the forest. After the tour we dried up, changed clothes and were presented with two cups of steaming Costa Rican coffee and home-made empanadas. Pure bliss.

- Rock climbing in Redrocks, Nevada. Photo courtesy of R. Tyler Gross Photography, rtylergross.comWe woke up to a beautiful clear day in Redrocks, Nevada. My good friend Joe Stern and I started out by firing up the stove to get a pot of hot water going for coffee, to start our day’s adventure. This is climber, geologist, and enthusiast Joe Stern leading a route called “Atman” (5.10b), a classic hand crack with great gear in Redrocks.

- Trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp in the Khumbu Region of the Himalayas. Photo courtesy of R. Tyler Gross Photography, rtylergross.comThis image was captured at about 15,000ft. along the trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Region, Himalayas, Nepal. We planned our trip through a traveling company called Backwoods Adventures-and everything ran as smooth as possible. Waking up at dawn is a regular occurrence on this trek- you have to get moving to the next camp and maintain deadlines for summit pushes and weather. This, of course, would have been a lot harder of a task without starting the day with coffee. Epic mountain scape and flowers provide amazing trekking during the month of July in Nepal.

- Rock Climbing in Joshua Tree National Park, Cailifornia. Photo courtesy of R. Tyler Gross Photography, rtylergross.comAfter several days in the high desert of Joshua Tree National Park, CA, Sean D’Agnalo, Brad Potter, and myself decided to get away from the climbing crowds and seek some remote trad climbing in the Joshua Tree backcountry. There is no better way to start a day of trad climbing in the desert than by brewing a fresh batch of coffee to get the adventure started. This is Sean D’Agnalo pulling through the crux section of Brad Potter’s lead on “Caught Inside On A Big Set”.

- Aaron LaPlante adventure travel in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Photo courtesy of R. Tyler Gross Photography, rtylergross.comMeet Aaron LaPlante. He is an IT guy for a school district, hang glider, paraglider, downhill mountain biker, climber, motorcycle track rider and a general extreme sports enthusiast. Aaron and I decided to take a trip to Mammoth, CA in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to combine all of our outdoor passions. Mammoth is a common stomping grounds for Aaron and he definitely showed me how it’s done on that trip! That morning we started with a an awesome breakfast of eggs, peppers, tortillas, and of course- a fresh batch of coffee. This is Aaron catching a boost off the main trail that leads into beautiful shale riding down 70 degree terrain.

- Canadian Mountain Holidays Summer Adventures climb the Via Ferrata route in the Purcell Mountains of Western Canada. Photo courtesy of Gery Unterasinger for Canadian Mountain Holidays Summer Adventures, cmhsummer.comThe professional mountain guides at Canadian Mountain Holidays Summer Adventures spent many long nights fueled by hi-test coffee designing one of North America's most extensive Via Ferrata routes. Combining thrilling elements such as helicopter access, near-vertical climbs up iron rung foot-holds, 2 suspension bridges (the longest being 60 metres (200 ft) over a 2000 ft valley) and ending with a 60 metre (200 ft) rappel back to terra firma, the Mt. Nimbus Via Ferrata makes mountaineers of ordinary men. No experience necessary, just a sense of adventure and love of a good challenge.
